Artist Statement : After years in the professional realm, Elaine Newman turned her focus toward creating art to reconnect with her spirit of wonder for the world. Starting with abstraction, she layers in color and feeling - using the near endless color possibilities and textures of watercolor and collage - to build worlds of her own. With all her work, Newman seeks to inspire curiosity in others for what is dream-able.
