Awaken JC is more than an open mic — it’s a movement, a space to express, connect, and shine. Each month, we hold space with intention, guided by a theme and a Drop Your Truth (box) question that invites reflection and conversation.

October’s theme is Spirituality & Inner Strength—a time to tap into the power within, to share stories, songs, and poems that remind us of who we are when life calls us to rise. Saturday 6-10pm

I created this platform to give local artists, poets, musicians, and performers the space to share their voices, explore their craft, and build a supportive creative network. Through Awaken JC, I aim to create a vibrant, inclusive environment where artists can showcase their talents, receive encouragement, and connect with other creatives in Jersey City. My mission is to foster an artistic space where people feel empowered to express their stories, challenges, and joys without fear of judgment. It’s about creating a movement where the act of sharing art becomes a catalyst for unity, healing, and transformation. Jersey City’s dynamic culture and diverse community fuel this vision, and Awaken JC is a direct reflection of that energy. As an artist, I believe in the power of creative expression to ignite change and inspire new ways of thinking. Awaken JC is my way of contributing to the arts in Jersey City, helping to cultivate the next wave of artists, and ensuring that art remains accessible to all.
